R.L. Mays Gives Back
R.L. Mays Construction is not just a company which delivers superior wood framing. Our employees also have a strong commitment to community service. Under the leadership of company President and Founder Rick Mays, our team gives back to the people of San Diego County and Mexico by volunteering with charities which build and modernize homes for the homeless, the elderly and the disabled – including Habitat for Humanity, Rebuilding Together and Project Mercy.
"Shelter is a basic need for everyone. We have a talent for building. We feel strongly that we should take our talents and give back to the community," says Mays, who currently serves as the President of the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity.
The R.L. Mays Construction team's charity work has benefitted hundreds of people in the region, from Oceanside and Escondido to across the border in Mexico. Our dedication to the community serves to inspire and remind others in the construction field that the best way to help others is by sharing the skills that you excel at.

This team, which was co-captained by Kathy Mays and Brooke McIntyre did a fantastic job! Kathy Mays set the bar high with her grass roots fundraising efforts—she showed us all how even door to door fundraising with your neighbors can bring tremendous results! Not only was the RL Mays team a top 5 fundraising team, their day-of participation was incredible—throughout the night they continued to have participation with members of their team walking the track for the entire 24 hours.
